IodoProf merupakan aditif iodium yang dibuat khusus untuk aquarium air laut.

Pada umumnya, aditif iodium dapat dibuat dari iodine atau iodide. Iodine akan dipecah menjadi iodide + iodate. Senyawa iodate sangat sedikit diserap biota dan akan terakumulasi di tank sehingga akan menjadi toksik bagi biota.

IodoProf mengandung potassium iodide yang di cross link dengan polimer khusus sehingga akan menjamin stabilitas iodide di dalam lingkungan pH basa. Dalam bentuk iodide, IodoProf akan langsung mensuplai iodium dalam bentuk yang siap serap sehingga dapat langsung dimanfaatkan oleh biota.

Iodium bermanfaat untuk pemulihan jaringan coral pasca luka dan akan berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan warna biru pada pigmen warna coral.

Kadar iodium normal dalam air laut : 0.01-0.09 ppm.

Aturan pakai :

Pemula : Gunakan 1/2 sendok takar (2,5 mL) per 100 L air tiap minggu.

Berpengalaman : Ukur kadar iodium di akuarium. Tiap 2,5 mL akan menaikan kadar iodium sebesar 0.02 ppm setiap 100 Liter air. Dosis dapat disesuaikan sesuai kebutuhan.
